I’m a social psychologist, and I believe that the best way to learn about how you have to do things (and how you’re not doing them) is through an immersive experience. So when I say we “become self-aware”, I’m not talking about becoming self-aware of your behavior or being aware of your thoughts. I’m talking about becoming self-aware of your behavior so you can more effectively influence it.
You have to become aware of the things you do in order to change them. So when you make a decision that is not in your best interest, you have to be able to understand it, and if you don’t, then it’s going to make it harder for you to change it. By developing self-awareness, you can develop the ability to make better decisions, and this is something that self-awareness is really good at.
I have a few theories on self-awareness. One is that we have more awareness of ourselves now than we have in the past because of the internet and the technological advancement we have today. A second theory is that we are less aware of our habits because we are more involved in our lives, and that if we were to get some more self-awareness, we might be able to make habits that would make us more aware of what we are doing.
I think the reason why we are less self-aware now is because we are less involved in our lives. Because of technology, we no longer need to interact with people every day. We are often on our phones and tablets, which means that our self-awareness is less affected. But we are still responsible for the way we live our lives.
If self-awareness is the ability to control our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then being involved in our lives is the ability to train ourselves to be more self-aware. Because when we are less involved in our lives, we can then train ourselves to be more aware.
It’s not that you have to be a genius to have your habits, routines, impulses, and reactions trained away from you. When you don’t engage, they control you. But if you’re not engaged, they still control you. We are, after all, social creatures. We are part of society, which means we need to be aware of how society works to control it.
