I personally love these three levels of self-awareness in one. If you don’t know, a “self-aware” person is one who is always aware and always on the look out for the best in life.
You can’t always be self-aware, you do have to be aware of the self-aware, and that can be difficult to achieve. As an example, I don’t know that I will ever be able to be self-aware of the self-aware. But at least I can appreciate when I’m not self-aware.
The difference between self-aware and unaware is that if you are unaware of your own life, you can be aware of something that might make you be aware of your life. If you are unaware of your self-awareness, you can’t realize that you are aware of something that might make you aware of yourself. This can be quite limiting. In India, we call this ‘a person with so much to learn but so little time.
If you are unaware of the way you act, think, and feel, you might never know how the other person feels. You might be unaware of their feelings or thoughts, but you feel them. You feel how they feel, but you are unaware of it. You might be aware of their feelings or thoughts, but you are unaware of it.
The same is true in the business world. If you are unaware of the way you act, think, and feel, you are unaware of yourself. It is no longer just about awareness, it is about the actualization of awareness. You are aware of your feelings and thoughts, but you are unaware of it. You are aware of your feelings and thoughts, but you are unaware of your behavior. This is a self-awareness problem.
A person with awareness understands that their actions and thoughts are not directed at them, but are instead their reactions to the world around them. But a person without awareness is unaware of themselves acting in a way that is not directed at them. You are not unaware of your feelings and thoughts, but you are unaware of your behaviors which is a self-awareness problem.
It is a self-awareness problem because a person without awareness cannot see their own behavior as directed at them. A person with awareness sees themselves as having conscious intentions in their actions and thoughts, but they fail to recognize the actions and thoughts of people around them.
When a person has this awareness, they are able to see their actions as directed at them. They can also see that the behaviors and thoughts of others around them are directed at them. For example, if you are having a conversation with someone and you notice that you are feeling afraid, you are not unaware of this. You are aware of your fear. You are also aware that you are feeling afraid.
So the only way to really know if someone’s aware of this is to ask them. They should say, “So, how do you feel about fear?” or “So, how do you feel about being afraid?” or “So, how do you feel about being angry?” and wait for the response. You should try to get to the root of the feeling, and be able to feel it without the person being able to see it.
